I was made to create.
2020. Sitting in a tiny apartment in Costa Rica during the first covid-19 lockdown, I dreamed up the idea to build my first guitar. I didn’t have any knowledge beforehand of fine woodworking, but I had a passion. I loved music, and I had always loved to build things. When we returned back to the United States one of my best friends and I started to build our first guitars. Within a couple months they were done, a little rough, but they were instruments, and instruments we put hours of passion into.
The first guitar body that I built.
This started a journey, and it needed a name.
I had numerous friends and my family pushing me forward to pursue this new found dream I had. When it came to naming my company I decided that I wanted the name to represent my love for building things to perfection. Without a doubt in mind I had to name it after my wife Mallorie. Every guitar that I build is to the standard of what I would want to give to her. No wife should ever get the half-best, or most ‘okay-est’ thing from their husband, they should only receive the best that he could give.
I strive to create the guitar that you will never want to put down or stop making music with.
As a guitar player first and foremost, I love to play anywhere and everywhere. From stage, to studio, to alone in your room, I am thrilled to know every guitar I make will be used to create something wonderful.
Where am I now?
I am located in O’Fallon, MO. I operate a wood shop, repair, and assembly studio in my home. With the current change in business model, the majority of physical construction and finish work is done by Ricardo Sanchez in Nashville at his shop. You can read more on the Ricardo’s X Mallorie page.
